Who is Mermade Spa?

Iris Huddy, Lead Esthetician & Owner founded Mermade Spa in May of 2009. Iris received her Esthetician license after graduating from Spa Luna Holistic Esthetics School on Maui in 2008 & hit the ground running.  Iris is originally from the small town of Hilo and after completing her studies, she returned home to finally open her own little day spa. Working as a waitress ( and full time mom) she begun to establish herself as an up & coming new skin and body care specialist. Throughout the years she steadily grew from sharing the space behind a few curtains, with only a massage table and sink into a multi-treatment room establishment alongside a small team of well trained Estheticians. Her love and devotion to Mermade Spa continues to evolve with a wide variety of treatments from organic facials, specialized lash & brow services, full body waxing, & custom spa days in our Apothecary Beauty Bar.

Mermade Spa also features fresh handcrafted custom skin care blends from the shelves to our facials. Iris loves using local seasonal ingredients like papayas, bananas, avocados, honey, seaweed and more to create fun facial masks for individual skin types.  Her passion is to handcraft special creations from facial toner mists to full body scrubs, while offering a holistic and natural approach to all skin types. Over the years, she has created a signature skin care line “Mermade Skin Care” which boasts organic wild crafted ingredients, and are lovingly designed for all skin types.
